Mission & Goals

Our mission is to ensure the health and humane treatment of pets, with the prevention of euthanasia through rescue, adoption, foster care, spay/neuter, education, medical assistance and other programs.

The Cherokee County Humane Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to;

  • Promoting responsible pet ownership.
  • Fostering programs for homeless and neglected animals.
  • Providing humane education.
  • Fostering a healthy relationship between people and animals.

Cherokee County Humane Society operates purely on funds from members donations and sales at the Thrift Store (Located on Bells Ferry Rd in Acworth, GA) and does not receive money from the county, state or the Humane Society of the United States or any other animal welfare groups.
