Be a responsible pet owner - have your animals spayed and neutered. This is the only answer to animal overpopulation and the needless death of thousands of animals every year. One cat can produce 1,728 cats in just THREE years, and there are not homes for them all! Altering also improves the health of your pet by greatly reducing the risk of several types of cancer, injuries from fights, and eliminates the unpleasant spraying of male cats.
BE PART OF THE SOLUTION – NOT PART OF THE PROBLEM!! CCHS offers an extremely low cost altering program called SNAP (short for Spay-Neuter Assistance Program). It is designed to provide low cost altering of companion animals for the county’s residents who cannot afford to pay for this important procedure. If you or someone you know would like more info, please call 770-928-5115 (Option 2) and leave your name and phone number to apply or you can click here to fill out the SNAP application form.
Help us “nip” the root cause of animal overpopulation! Can you spare some time to make phone calls, provide transportation, or attend a weekday or weekend spay/neuter clinic for a few hours? Must be able to communicate with people at all socioeconomic levels. Bilingual Spanish/English Volunteers Desperately Needed!!!!
